Good news! Production of all Mangrove Sunglasses is almost finished, and we thank you for your patience.
In the last month, we've encountered some unexpected hiccups with the customs of Indonesia. All of our inbound imports were flagged, leading to prolonged customs processes. The new batch of hinges that we imported from Germany and the new polarized Blue Lenses were stuck for more than 2 weeks, which stretched our timelines.
Here are the updates:
We've been working diligently to finalize the renovation of our Travel frames, and they will all be ready next week. Once completed, the remaining frames will be shipped to our fulfillment center in Shenzen, and from there to you. Please expect their arrival in December.
We have already produced 400 City frames to date, and the remaining 300 are nearing the final stages of production and assembly. We are aiming to finalize them at the end of November and ship them. You can expect to receive them during December as well.
Adventure is under production with the expert manufacturer but unfortunately, there will be a delay for quality assurance. We originally planned them for shipment on November 20 but we added a new round of revisions to ensure that the quality will be excellent. The estimated date of completion is December 15th, with shipping expected during the second half of December.
We're thrilled to share that the long-awaited blue mirrored lenses finally arrived at our workshop last week after being stuck at customs. We have tested them and confirmed that this time they're polarized and 100% UV resistant. We've already begun assembling them into frames and will finish sending them this week.
Our unique PANGEA Hard Cases have been successfully finalized and shipped to our fulfillment center! They will be sent your way alongside your sunglasses.
Our commitment to mangrove cleanup and achieving our impact goal remains strong, despite the production challenges. To date, we have collected an impressive 17,969 kg (39,614 lbs) of trash, powered by you. We are well on our way to reaching our initial goal of 22,884 kg (50,450 lbs). With the rainy season coming in Bali, the mangroves will be flushed with trash from the rivers. So we expect to reach our goal in the next 4-6 weeks.
